Make Your 1st Skydive a Solo!
Skydiving Solo from an aircraft is one of the most exciting adventures on the planet. Your first Solo Skydive begins by preparing you for your jump by attending our 1 day training course. If the weather permits you also get to do the Skydive that same day.
The Solo Skydive is our most popular Skydive. We currently have a Special Offer price of just €240 (Normal Price is €320). After you complete your 1st Solo Skydive you are now become a Certified Student Parachutist, it then costs just €65 per jump!
It takes a minimum of just 25 Levels to complete Student Status and become a Qualified Skydiver, known as your 'A' Certificate of Proficiency. This qualification is recognised worldwide. As a Licensed Skydiver then you can jump from as little as just €20 per jump. The sport is very affordable in comparision to other adventure activities.
Every Saturday we conduct Solo Skydive Courses. Our First Jump Course is specially designed to teach you everything you need to know about how to do your Skydive safely. So even if you have never been in a plane before or at least have never jumped out of one, you can still choose to do our Solo Skydive for your first jump.
The Skydive takes place from an altitude of 3,500ft (1070m). A Jump Master is with you in the aircraft and is there to ensure your safety. When the door of the aircraft opens, the Jump Master will ensure you exit in the correct position over the Dropzone (DZ - Landing Spot). When the signal is given you will climb out of and exit the aircraft. This is the moment of truth, and at this point you hope you paid enough attention in the classroom!
Ready-Set-GO!: When you leave the aircraft your Parachute will begin to deploy automatically and will take approximately 4 seconds to open. After your safety checks are completed you will begin to fly your Parachute towards the Dropzone. As part of your training you will learn how to fly the Parachute to the Parachute Landing Area (PLA) for landing. But for your first few Skydives, you are equipped with an Air-to-Ground Radio and a qualified Student Radio Controller will be there to assist directing you.
The Solo Skydive Course Program
The course typically can take between 5-6 hours. The curriculum covers everything from understanding your Parachute System, exiting the aircraft in the correct position, Free-Fall Body Position, altitude awareness, flying and landing your Parachute and emergency procedures. By the time the course is completed you will be confident in your ability to do your first Parachute Jump.
Equipment: We provide all the equipment you need for your first jump. This includes the Student Parachute System, a jumpsuit, helmet, goggles (only required if you wear glasses or contact lenses), Air-to-Ground radio and an Altimeter (this allows you to read your altitude). We ask that you wear casual clothing, if the weather is cold make sure your clothes are warm. You must wear runners with laces and it is advisable to bring a spare set of clothes in case you land in 'Cow Muck'!
Digital Video Capture
We are the only Skydiving Centre that provides digital video recording as part of our Integrated Student Progression. (ISP). Everything in Skydiving happens very quickly and we like to ensure our Students have a steep learning curve. Using digital video to capture your Skydive is the most effective method of helping you recall your jump and let you see how you performed. Our Instructors are then easily able to teach you tips and techniques to help you improve your skills so as you progress through the Student Progression Program you will advance on very quickly to become qualified.
Having your Skydive captured on digital video means we can transfer it onto DVD and you can show it to your friends, family and co-workers to prove you actually did the Skydive!
